What personal data do we collect?

If you become a member, we ask you for your name, address, contact telephone number, email address. These details will not be shared with any third parties

Why do we collect this information?

We need this information for accounting purposes as well as for credit/debit card verification, we will use your information to verify your payment details for your purchase, process your order. We will also send you a receipt via email.

We require this information in order to process your payment, deliver your data and fulfil our contract with you.

If a payment is made by credit/debit card, this is into the online credit card portal and is not kept.

What do we do with your information?

Your information (credit/debit card information is not kept) is stored in our order processing system which is based within the European Union.

We use third-party couriers to deliver your goods and we share with them your name, address and telephone number in order to complete the delivery.

We do not use the information you provide to make any automated decisions that might affect you.

How long do we keep your information for?

Unless you become a member of Roboscopes, we store no information from enquiries apart from standard email communication which is stored on our secure server and will then be removed after 3 years

Your rights over your information

By law, you can ask us what information we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate. You can also ask us to give you a copy of the information and to stop using your information for a period of time if you believe we are not doing so lawfully. Your privacy is of great importance to us and all details given are not released to third parties except for the use of cookies on our site which are used in two ways.

Cookies are short pieces of data that are sent to your computer when you visit a site 

The cookies that are sent to your PC are from google analytics

Type - S and _utmb

These are used to analyse the type of word or phrase used to find our site, which we can then check to see if this was successful and you stayed on the site or left to find a site with the information you required.
Using this information, we make sure that your browsing experience gives you exactly what you require from our site and that we thus do not waste your time looking at information you do not require.
This information is not given to third parties except for web/google optimisation. 

The Web Shop also uses the following cookies. 

Type - osCsid, _utma, _utmc, NID which are used to keep the goods in your shopping trolley while you browse and for the overall running of the shop.

The S cookie is from Google as per the above explanation.

We use a 128bit Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption in the shop when your address and details are entered which are only used within the company and not released to third parties.
Payments are handled by PayPal or Credit Card via or card providers Portal, we do not hold credit card details for these transactions.

When opening an account you will be automatically subscribed to our news letter unless you untick that option, you will be able to unsubscribe from this at any time in the future.
