Hi All
with the new camera comes the need for user testing. I propose that we put on a few very short total exposure time jobs just to help test the camera and focus etc All the stuff Steve and Pete will have done and rightly not shown us.
I have put on a narrow band of the elehants trunk (the dark nebula bit fits beatuifully in the wider aspect ratio of the 294). Just to test the NB filter response - just half an hour of each filter - so we fill a slot but hopefully we get the data quite quickly.
Another one I am just about to put on is LRGB 30mins each of the fireworks galaxy NGC 6946
Finally what do people think of a reasonable session on the Trifid this season - . it is rising just before dawn now and we can get about an hour per day on the West side of the mount.... As it is so low we will have to be selective on the data we use......
All of these are rising quite late in the morning at the moment, so if they work we can add through the season.....
Cheers
Paul
Hi Paul,
I think a couple of tests in NB and LRGB are enough for us to check our workflow. I understand that the ASI294MM is a bit fussy about calibration, so we need to get that right before doing any large projects.
So I won't add any jobs until we have our first data.

so I have added 2 short requests - half an hour on each filter.... they are rising in the morning so are good for this part of the moon's cycle. The only think=g I forgot to do was ask steve and team to put then=m on as high priority
Pretty please steve and co =, could you make these two short jobs high prioity.... Thx Paul
Hi all,
We have now got to the stage of doing the camera swap, I have marked all started jobs as complete so the team will share the data. I have also paused all other jobs in the meantime in will put the suggested test jobs into the pier. thanks for doing those, its a great help :)
Steve
Please ignore my dylexia wherever possible, just be thankful I can control my Tourettes ;)
Things to do, so little time!
