Over the last couple of days I worked on IC 405 and IC 410 integrating 128 subs from requests 2006 and 2007. To my surprise, Comet C/2022 U2 (ATLAS) made its way through the FoV between Feb 11 and Feb 13. So I decided to overlay just short of 30 comet positions on the integrated image, nicely showing it trajectory.

As could be expected, several asteroids are also visible in this field. One needs to do a special integration to see their traces though.

I have uploaded the image to the gallery and included an annotated version in this post.

Hi Manuel,

Very well spotted. I started calibration on this one yesterday evening and despite blinking through the subs, completely failed to notice it. :(  Now I'll have another look. Nicely presented in that annotated image you've posted.

Cheers,

Ray

Thanks for your message Ray.  The comet is visible when blinking Request 2007.

Cheers
