Hi, I´m Martin from Lübeck in the north of Germany, home of all the clouds preventing a CS most of the time. While being into photography for many many years - esp. wildlife / bird photography incl Photoshop - I came to Astrophotography about 3 years ago.

My family and I joined our local amateur star-friends-group which used to run the observatory before it got teared down in 2016. So I am very happy we just re-opened Luebecks new observatory last year ;-) I use a C9 with a CGX mount, MGEN Autoguiding and a modified Canon 750D(A) as well as an ASI 183MM with filterwheel. While I own a Canon supertele(400mm f2.8) for bird photography anyway, I also love using it for astrophotography. Also using other Canon lenses 8 - 300mm with a star adventurer mount. For scoping we use a 12" Dobson, and my 11 year old son uses a 4" table-dobson.

I like to improve my image processing skills and thus like to access some more but at the same time advanced raw imaging material. That´s why I joined the Syndicate and looking forward to all the great astro surprises we´ll experience this year... It´s supposed to be an addition for my own scoping activities and not a replacement ;-) While learning includes making errors and getting to know about them I would like to encourage you to (meaningful) criticise my images I will upload - I won´t be offended by that at all.

Hi Martin and welcome to the group :)

Have fun and if you need any help or info please let us know, in between our personal lives the staff are a helpful bunch and the existing syndicate members are not so bad either LOL

Steve

Please ignore my dylexia wherever possible, just be thankful I can control my Tourettes ;)

Things to do, so little time!
