My final image of the B78 mosaic (Job 1550 - 1553). The editing was more difficult than expected. Unfortunately, I did not manage to stack the 4 panels cleanly. You could still see edges at the image transitions. But I was able to weaken the transitions in postprocessing. I hope you like it.

Darius,
I think it has come out very well. Certainly, I could not see any evidence of boundaries between the panels.
This is my version of the same data. I reduced the impact of the stars and pushed the nebulosity to show more of the texture. It may be overdone. Yours feels more natural. However, it will do me for the moment. I will play around further when I get a chance.

Hi,
Sorry for the slow reply. Very impressive picture. I like the second version better. The fine structures of the dark nebulae come out well and look more natural than in the first version. Good work 👍🏼Regards

Thanks Darius.
It is a very nice dataset to work with. I think there might be a residual colour gradient to deal with, but you can never be sure with this rich dust and gas clouds what is real colour variation and what is gradient.
Thank you for choosing this target.
