I have a great like for the North American nebula and when I saw the data released, I just had to process it. It was taken on Pier 6 and comprises of 6 x Ha, 12 x OIII and 14 x SII, all at 600s, through a Takahashi FSQ106-ED F/3.6 astrograph, on  a Paramount MX mount with a QSI 683-WSG mono CCD, using Astronomik filters. Integration time was thus 5 hours and 20 minutes. Thanks everyone and have a good night!

NB. Now with stars adjusted, as per Mike's suggestion... plus some other fine adjustments.

Hi Simon,

A tip: invert the image so that you get a negative then do SCNR for GREEN and invert the image again.
The magenta visible in the stars will dissappear.
If you invert magenta than you will get green.
And by selecting the procedure SCNR in Pixinsight you can remove green and thus in the end magenta.
SCNR means Selective Color Noise Reduction.

Best regards,
Mike

Thanks Mike,

I thought I got rid of what was needed, using Colour Mask Magenta script, and the saturation tool in Curves. Anyway, I like your method.

All done and thanks for taking the time.  :  )
