Well, after a short break away with my wife, I have managed to finish this tonight, after I got in. I really like pier 12 and it has picked up some serious detail in the core of the galaxy. Thanks everyone.

Simon

Pier 12 uses a 12.5 inch f/9 Ritchey Chretien telescope, and this image is a LRGB of 31 subs at 15 minutes long each, thus a total of 7 hours and 45 minutes imaging time.

Hi Simon,

Nice lot of detail there as you say, and what certainly looks to me like a galaxy is easy to pick out in the glow surrounding ngc891. I haven't been able to find a name for that one though. Besides that and the obvious galaxy in a north westerly direction  I'm sure I can make out several tiny ones. You always manage to retain good star colours as well as the detail. Another one I look forward to having an attempt at.

Hope you had a great time away.

Best wishes,

Ray
