Hi everyone After a dreadful Spring where basically northern Europe all they way up to the artic circle and halfway into Russia has had a massive high pressure sitting over it that has given northern latitudes unprecedented amounts clear night skies. We have had more in one spring than they have had in almost 10 previous years put together. This has been fantastic while we are all stuck home due to Covid -19 but has had an effect on the European weather systems as a whole! Unfortunately the normal westerly fronts that dominate our weather have had to go somewhere, and they have. That somewhere is over the Mediterranean. So from North Africa to Southern France and Portugal to the Adriatic we have had the wettest season on record. Roboscopes is not on its own with this problem, all remote observatories in Spain have suffered with little to no clear skies. We have had storm after storm and it’s being nothing less than soul destroying Thankfully this is now coming to and end so data will resume being gathered!
