Hi all myself and Pete are travelling to Spain at present for the planned install and maintenance we have mentioned a few times, We travel by ferry for over half the distance from the UK with zero internet so are off grid

Comms will be slow even when we get to Spain as we have a lot of work to get done, so apologies

Steve

The maintenance work is going well and is ahead of schedule, we are happy to say :)

  • Pier -1 has a new mount
  • Pier -3 focuser is now working again
  • Pier-11 filter wheel has been sorted
  • Pier-13 Is almost finished
  • Pier-14 Epsilon 160 is now just awaiting being cabled, then we can begin testing
  • Pier-15 sigma 105 Mono is now just awaiting being cabled, then we can begin testing

Today we are sorting Pier 4 & 16

We still have lots to get done, however!

Some quick snaps from the trip so far, including a rare one of Peter Shah working! :)

Hi all, Pete & myself will be back at work on Monday, it was a long hard trip that ended with a storm in the bay of Biscay so we were delayed even further getting home, so we are taking a few days of rest as working day and night in Spain for almost 2 weeks is a tad tiring :)

Any outstanding issues or support tickets will be dealt with then !

To get you up to speed with the maintenance trip:

Piers - 1, 2, 3, 5 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, are all working
Piers - 4, 8 needs curved and a model
Piers - 13, 15,& 16 need curves

We are just waiting for the weather to turn in the next few days and these will all be done :)
