Using pier 3 again, I managed to process Sh2-86 once more, this time as a HaRGB. Each sub was 300 seconds long, and I used 46 Has, 20 reds, 20 greens and 20 blues.  This totals an integration time of 8 hours and 50 minutes. Pier 3 uses an ASA 12n F/3.6 Corrected Newtonian, Paramount ME mount and FLI PL-16803 Mono CCD camera - 1x1 Binned. Have a good day everyone... Image11_DBEv2.png
Hi Simon,  What a splendid image and on first glance  one might not realise that this is the same nebula as in your previous post. Shows what a difference the choice of filters can make.  Just personally, I do prefer the full narrowband image mainly from the picture it conjures up. It does help to have a weird imagination. In this vast mass of dust a hole has temporarily formed,  and being ridden through it by some giant is a brontosaurus. Could be an elephant instead, but they are fast becoming far too common in our galaxy.   It's nice to see all these new ones from you Simon, thanks. I am working on several myself right now just to let you know.  Keep well,  Best wishes,  Ray
