Telescope

I can say very little about the FSQ-106 that has not already been waxed about by others but suffice to say it is fast, flat and has great colour correction that is hard to beat, oh and did I mention the tiny stars.

The FSQ 0.73 reducer is at the limits of correction with 3.76um pixels like this on a 35mm chip, so overall the feild is very flat but the corners do have some aberations.

Pier-6 is a fast Unguided system

The telescope is F/3.6 and is fitted with a low noise CMOS camera set to unity gain, even in narrowband the longest sub length needed is only 300seconds. if you book subs longer than this Roboscopes will contact you to alter them to more suitable lengths that suits the system!

CMOS Camera

ZWO' have finaly released the new generation Sony 60MP 35mm CMOS sensor, its very low noise, great well depth, high dynamic range and very sensitive. It's also one of the new zero amp glow derivatives so thats one less thing to worry about :)

This camera is set to Unity Gain as our default, if you have any special gain and offset requirements for CMOS imaging please discuss and we will do our best to accommodate you.

So you need to exercise due diligence and experience when booking because if you fill the booking form out with incorrect details then you will get precisely that.
